About GradePower Learning Ocoee

GradePower Learning Ocoee is at 1553 Boren Dr in Ocoee, Florida. We recently moved, so look for us on the back side of the Amerivita Home Health building. Families join us from Ocoee, Gotha, Windermere, and Winter Garden. Our programs include after-school tutoring, SAT® and ACT® test prep, and homeschool support through the Day Academy.

We use the SQ-RCRC method to focus on how students learn, not just what they learn. We start with a free cognitive and academic assessment. After-school tutoring helps students catch up, keep up, or get ahead, with homework support and skill-building. SAT® and ACT® prep is personalized in small groups of two or three. Day Academy runs three hours a day, four days a week for homeschool families wanting daytime structure.

Discount categories include siblings, military families, first responders, and teachers; eligibility and terms are confirmed by the center. Landmarks like Ocoee Village Center and Starke Lake are nearby, and we're near areas served by Ocoee High, Olympia High, West Orange High, Windermere High, Windermere Preparatory School, and Champions Academy. These are nearby context only, not school partnerships or assignments.

How We're Different

At GradePower Learning Ocoee, teaching begins with a free cognitive and academic assessment, so we understand how your child learns before deciding what to work on. Our SQ-RCRC method focuses on thinking skills, reflection, and independence. Students learn to notice when something doesn't make sense and what to do next, which is different from tutoring that only re-teaches content.

Available programs include after-school tutoring for catching up, keeping up, or getting ahead. SAT® and ACT® prep is personalized in small groups of two or three, starting with a diagnostic assessment. Homeschool support through the Day Academy runs three hours a day, four days a week, in a calm, pod-style setting. We also offer individualized programs for students who need something different. Center Director Philip Cottone brings more than ten years in education, with a focus on gifted learners. Discount categories include siblings, military families, first responders, and teachers; eligibility and terms are confirmed by the center.

Why Choose Us

Families may choose GradePower Learning Ocoee because the center starts with a free cognitive and academic assessment. That gives the team a picture of how a student learns before planning sessions, which can help when past tutoring focused only on content. The center uses SQ-RCRC learning strategies, so after-school tutoring can address homework support, foundational skills, and study habits together.

For test prep, SAT® and ACT® sessions are kept small, with two or three students, and begin with a diagnostic assessment to target high-impact areas. That structure may appeal to families who want focused practice without a large class. Homeschool families can look at Day Academy, which runs three hours a day, four days a week in a pod-style setting, with curriculum support, skill-building, and guided independent work.

Discount categories at this center include siblings, military families, first responders, and teachers; eligibility and terms are confirmed by the center. Center Director Philip Cottone's public bio describes more than ten years in education and a focus on gifted learners. Families can call to ask about fit and next steps.
